The picturesque resort of Oz lies in the heart of the French Alps in the Grandes Rousses/Alpe d'Huez range, the highest peak of which stands at 3300 metres!

At an altitude of 1350 metres it is one of the largest resort areas with over 175 km of piste and ample off-piste slopes for the more experienced skiers.  There are two main areas, Grandes Rousses and Oz-Vaujany.  Between them they comprise 38 Green runs, 32 Blue Runs, 34 Red runs and 16 Black Runs.

There are various off-piste itenaries such as the Grand Sablat and Le Coumb de Loup and guided trips can be arranged from the local ski school or at the guides hut in Alpe d’Huez.

Should the weather prove unreliable, the 120 runs are served by over 850 snow making machines

Access from Oz to the main resort area is provided by a frequent, speedy gondola service and in all the area has 85 lifts

Oz is the perfect resort for families with children. There are no cars in the main resort area and the skiing in Oz itself is self-contained, it is not possible to access the high mountain except by using the gondola service. A carpet lift and 2 button lifts are ideal for children as they learn and improve their skills.

There is a creche for smaller children in the resort which takes children aged from 6 months to 6 years.
